A Month of Emotions
Meta Emotion: Looking back at the second month I was very largely positive so that leads me to choose the “spouting whale feeling” as the overall feeling of this month.
Physical Health: Didn’t work out much, but did go to martial arts and teach class, no call-offs, and built a nice looking rock wall, and did yard work. Strategic use of energy this month. Lots of energy most of the month and the near tear of my quad healed nicely through not exercising, but at the end, I feel a bit tired, so debating if I need to restart or just rest up.
Social Health: It’s nice to see my friends more often than ever before, usually as adults we allow it to get put off and put off and suddenly many years have passed, but having a reoccurring day of the week really helps.
Mental Health: This month my dad left right to handle repairs and I was able to do a ton of things, gardening, building, forming a scouting group, making a website, a narcissus challenge, a tide challenge, a math challenge, it’s just been easier to get things done, from cleaning the patio to living everyday life. Now he is back and I am pushing myself to stay relaxed when he is anxious or stay calm if he is frustrated, and it’s been working super well. Being actively trying not to mirror his moods is enough for me to really not do it!
Something New: Instead of the worst day, Wednesday is now the best day, because we do our Adventure Scout meeting, including martial arts. I was surprised how fast we got our paperwork done to become a non-profit organization and how fast the website went up.
What helped: Cleaning up the patio and the yard bit by bit makes it more fun to be around the garden. Deciding I’m mentally over the pandemic > endemic. Having kind friends in my life, both online and in-person helps so much.
Physical Goal: Actually clean up and organize more than exercise.
Social: Keep up the new Wednesday habit.
Mental: Fix the pond leak sometime this month, which means finding it, I have a lot of liner, I have waterfall foam, now it’s just move everything out, check everything out and go.
